Feeding

ACANA Duck & Pear benefits your dog by providing the nutritional value that meets its individual needs. Just like you, your dog is a unique individual and his feeding requirements will vary with environment, age and activity.

The table pictured provides a starting point, to be adjusted as needed to maintain optimum weight and peak conditioning. We suggest monitoring your dog’s weight and adjusting amounts as needed. We recommend feeding twice daily and always keeping fresh, clean water available.

When switching diets, it’s important to transition your dog as it takes time for his digestive system to adapt to the richer nutrient levels in ACANA. Over a five-to-seven-day period, gradually mix in ACANA, increasing the amount each day so that by day seven you are feeding 100 percent ACANA.
